Tips for Better Rideshare Experience

=

Unless you have a serious issue, rate your driver 5 stars

Reward your driver for the service that is provided, as customer reviews are very important. Clean, polite, safe, and efficient service is 5 stars.

=

No alcohol in the car!

Legality and cleanliness are the top priorities here for both the passenger and driver.

=

SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY!

Put your seatbelt on, don’t distract your driver by dancing or bothering your driver for things. They’re trying to safely get you to point a to point b.

=

Be in a safe and legal area

Find a place where a driver can legally stop. Try a side street or somewhere easily accessible.

=

If you have requested a car, stay by your phone

See where your driver has stopped on the app, they may be around the corner if they can’t stop where you requested. They’ll likely try to call you in busy areas.

=

No food or drink in the car

Again, we don’t want to have to clean up after you and have our car smell of what you just ate for the rest of the night.

=

Be respectful of your driver and their car

Treat the car as if it was yours, wear a shirt and shoes as if you were entering a business.

=

If we offer refreshments, assume it’s one per trip

If you want more than one, perhaps offer your driver $1 for an item. If you’re on a very short trip, have the courtesy not to take the refreshments.

=

Put your destination into the app before we get there

That way we can get going straight away and the driver can assess the trip for themselves.

=

Don’t request a ride until you are ready and waiting!

Check progress on the app and be ready to get in the car when we pull up, not a few minutes after we get there…our time is as valuable as yours is.

=

Just Ask!

We’re usually happy to change the radio station or let you put your own music on, but have the courtesy to ask first. Passenger satisfaction is a high priority for drivers.

=

Double check where you are!

Ensure that you are where the app says you are; check the address and don’t just rely on the pin.

=

Don’t expect your driver to wait

In the drive through or to run in the grocery store. Your driver may not mind, but don’t be offended if they won’t, our time is more valuable at peak times than the amount we get for waiting.
